Welcome to November's Meeting reminder,
Our next meeting is tomorrow Thursday 12th November. Taking place at our regular venue of the Bromley Court Hotel, from 7.30pm.
Our speaker, David Klaasen of Inspired Working, will be talking on Understanding and using unconscious motivators to get your message across.
As you probably know there is an abundance of theories on motivation, but the real clues to what motivates people lies in how they speak. There are a number of simple language patterns that are used whenever people communicate and a skilled listener can decode them. Once a pattern is identified it becomes possible to increase your understanding of others, predict their behaviour in a given context and influence them with empathy and integrity.
It is said that “The Language and Behaviour Profile (LAB Profile) can help you learn more about someone in 20 minutes of conversation than 20 years of marriage.” Based on the latest thinking in applied psychology the LAB Profile is free of judgement and is now being used in a variety of contexts from coaching, marketing, sales and business meetings to personal relationships, health and education.
In this session you will discover simple ways to identify people’s ‘Hot Buttons’ and the most appropriate way to deliver information to them in order to motivate them. Once you have had a go at asking some of the very specific questions from the LAB Profile you will begin to hear the language patterns in the answers and transform the way you listen to people.
