Our next speaker is Jackie Barrie of CommsPlus talking about marketing yourself and your business using the Social Networking Website LinkedIn, presented in Jackie's fun, commonsense and interactive style.

LinkedIn is one of the best social media websites for businesses, with lots of potential to make new contacts, expand your personal or company brand, gain knowledge and new custom.

Jackie will be talking about best practices and also what not to do to make sure you get the best experience from the site.

Biography

Jackie trained as a journalist, worked for nearly 20 years in the corporate world, then started Comms Plus in 2001. Her BA Honours degree included the psychology of how people process words and symbols on paper. She is also a qualified INLPTA NLP Practitioner (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) to further understand and apply the power of language in written and spoken communications. She's been Area Partner for eight different Business Referral Exchange (BRX) networking groups in the South London region, and co-moderator of the Croydon Ecademy club. Although she provides traditional marketing services for her clients, she gets 98% of her own business through word-of-mouth marketing (networking). She also works as an Associate with Kent Trainers and a team of senior business consultants.
