March Meeting - The Mind Body Connection

Bromley Business Club
Here's a quick reminder about Thursday's meeting,

Our next meeting is a great follow on from our last talk on back pain and posture. This month sees Martin Feaver of Positive Image Fitness, discussing The Mind Body Connection.

Passionate about empowering people to achieve their fullest potential in every area of their lives, Martin is an effective and successful empowerment coach. His approach reflects his belief in the connection between the mind and body and that a full and successful life at work, rest or play comes from positive well being.

Together with working with individual clients and in the corporate sector, Martin believes in spreading the message of positive health to the widest possible audience. He is the Physical Activity Advisor for the British Heart Foundation and writes in their publication Heart Health; writes in national newspapers and magazines regularly; runs numerous coaching, therapy and fitness courses; and appears frequently on BBC radio - he is the Fitness Expert for BBC Radio Kent and has appeared on many other BBC radio programmes.

Do you know that the way you sit affects the way you think; the way you think affects the way you sit? This is The Mind Body Connection and appreciating this makes a significant difference to the way you live your life.

Thank You Sooooooooo Much!
Thanks Richard and everyone at Bromley Business Club for raising a fantastic £80 for The Maypole Project at last month’s meeting. And what an informative meeting it was. Thanks to Jason’s talk I have now discovered my ‘core stability’. I came away enlightened and rather in awe of someone who obviously paid more attention in their biology class than I did! Read more

February Meeting

Bromley Business Club

Here's a quick reminder about our next meeting,

Taking place tonight, Thursday 11th February, at our regular venue of the Bromley Court Hotel, from 7.30pm.

Our speaker, Dr Jason Gould BSc, MChiro, DC, will be discussing Back Pain at his Business Workshop.

Whether at home, at work, or on the move, more and more of us are spending large parts of our day using a computer. When sitting and concentrating on the screen for so long, we may not be aware that the position we are in is, in fact, harmful to our spine. To help combat this and protect our backs, Dr Jason Gould has some advice to keep in mind when twittering, blogging, surfing or emailing!

Come along to Jason's Back Pain and Business Workshop covering a number of practical exercises to help reduce the risk of injury!.

This event ideally needs people to be put into pairs so you can observe and advise the other person on their posture. So just for this event we are doing a deal on the entry price. Bring along a friend and they get in for half price, non-members entry is normally £8, this will be reduced to £4 if you come along with a friend.

The half price entry fees will all go to the clubs' dedicated charity, The Maypole Project, so you'll not only be helping yourself, you'll also be helping 100's of children with life threatening, life limiting illnesses and their families across South East London.
