Burnt Ash and Sundridge Community Day - July 14th 2012

Burnt Ash and Sundridge Community Day - July 14th 2012

On July 14th 2012 there is going to be a major event in the Kings Meadow, Burnt Ash Lane, Sundridge Park.

The purpose of this day is to celebrate the Olympic games by bringing together the community of Bromley and surrounding areas to enjoy a day of entertainment from the various acts we have planned as well as side shows. Local traders will be there to show off the best of what Bromley has to offer.

For the pitches, we are looking for traders who will want to show their products or services to the public as well as help sponsor an event. Pitches are available from just £10 with an area that will allow the erection of a small gazebo type cover.

The entertainment for the day will involve local schools and clubs giving the crowd a demonstration of an Olympic sport as well as fun things like BMX or skateboard riding skills.

There are plans to have a drive through of classic cars and a special feature of Harley Davidson bikes.

There will be some silly stuff as well. We are hoping to get local traders involved in the prestigious Golden Egg Race. Which is basically a 3 legged egg and spoon race combined into one event.

This is a non profit making event, however, some things will need to be paid for. We are looking for sponsorship for the event and in these tough times it’s not easy to ask you but we have no choice. Any donation will be gratefully accepted and a statement of account will be made available.

We shall keep you up to date with how the event is progressing and in the mean time we look forward to your comments and any suggestions you may have.

Thank you.
